Job description
As a Linux System Engineer, you'll work closely with project teams, collaborating with colleagues, external partners, and clients. You'll be involved throughout the entire lifecycle of complex and large-scale systems, from design to implementation.
You'll play a key role in various project phases, including reviewing specifications, creating quality and test plans, conducting risk analyses, preparing test designs, and supporting developers during software implementation. You'll also assist users through acceptance testing.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Maintaining, optimizing, and enhancing both internal and external Linux systems
- Implementing and supporting our Linux-based solutions at customer sites
- Testing and deploying new products and software within Linux environments
- Setting up and managing system implementations and migrations-both for new and existing environments, internally and externally
Requirements

- Strong expertise in Linux system administration
- Solid understanding of various testing methodologies
- A process-oriented mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement and monitoring
- A solution-driven approach with great attention to detail and adherence to procedures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- A proactive, flexible, and accurate work style - you know how to set priorities and get things done
- The ability to work independently, combined with persistence and strong interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience
Technical Skills & Experience:
- Linux system administration, email, networking, DNS, DHCP, LLDP are second nature to you
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Bash or Python
- Familiar with monitoring tools like Nagios and High Availability setups (e.g. Keepalived)
- Confident working with Microsoft 365
- Bonus points for experience with:
- IPv6
- Ansible
- Asterisk
- Previous work at an internet service provider
