Job description
Reporting to the Lab Manager, the Test Engineer 1 is responsible for lab testing, such as QA/QC testing, formulation evaluation, and new product development. This position must thrive in an environment that is mission-driven, results-driven and community oriented. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities., * Performs troubleshooting and maintenance of lab and key process support equipment.

Performs a variety of engineering tasks in areas of analysis, research, design, development or testing of new products and modifications of existing products.

Requirements
- Candidates must have excellent written and oral communication skills, be computer literate, experienced in MS office software, possess solid interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Experience in the scientific instrumentation field and plant manufacture process are desirable. Product testing, regulatory compliance and training experience would all be a plus but are not required.
- Flexibility in work hours. Available to work overtime, weekends, and alternate work schedules, if required during peak season.
Education and Experience:
- Preferred education BS in Science or Engineering or 2 years of related experience, education or certification.
- Experience in the scientific instrumentation field and plant manufacture process are desirable. Product testing, regulatory compliance and training experience would all be a plus but are not required.
