Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support clinical operations across various specialties, including dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, and outpatient clinics. This role involves providing exceptional patient service, assisting with medical procedures, and ensuring efficient clinic workflows. Candidates with experience in hospital settings, emergency medicine, or Level I and Level II trauma centers are highly encouraged to apply. The Medical Assistant will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care while maintaining compliance with healthcare standards and protocols., * Greet patients and assist with check-in and intake processes

  • Measure and record vital signs accurately
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
  • Assist healthcare providers during medical procedures, including medication administration and X-ray procedures
  • Maintain detailed documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
  • Support medical administrative tasks such as ICD coding, appointment scheduling, and patient follow-up
  • Provide patient education on treatment plans and post-care instructions
  • Assist with specimen collection and basic laboratory tasks
  • Support inpatient and outpatient care activities across various departments such as Geriatrics, Medical-Surgical, PICU, OR, and Emergency Medicine
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards including Basic Life Support (BLS) protocols
  • Assist with inventory management of medical supplies and equipment

Requirements

  • Proven experience in clinical settings such as hospital medicine, urgent care, or outpatient clinics
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, ICD coding, and medication administration
  • Experience working in Level I or Level II trauma centers preferred
  • Familiarity with EHR systems and medical administrative support functions
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required
  • Strong patient service skills with a compassionate approach to care delivery
  • Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments including emergency medicine settings
  • Prior experience in specialized areas such as dermatology, internal medicine, geriatrics, or PICU is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and patient safety
