Job description
- Develop and maintain the enterprise resiliency architecture for on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.
- Define resiliency strategies for compute, storage, and network layers, including redundancy, failover, and disaster recovery.
- Establish reference architectures, design patterns, and standards for high availability and fault tolerance.
- Collaborate with Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, and Business Continuity teams to integrate cyber-resiliency principles into infrastructure design.
- Oversee resiliency testing programs, including failover drills, backup validation, and recovery exercises.
- Assist with evaluation, recommendation and recovery features for technologies and tools for backup, replication, and automated recovery.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to architects and engineers across infrastructure domains.
- Ensure compliance with industry frameworks (e.g., NIST SP 800-160, ISO 22301, CIS Benchmarks).
Requirements
- 10+ years in infrastructure architecture or engineering roles, with strong expertise in compute, storage, and networking.
- Proven experience designing high-availability and disaster recovery solutions for enterprise environments.
- Deep knowledge of:
- Servers/Virtualization: VMware, Hyper-V, Linux/Windows OS, zOS
- Storage: SAN, NAS, object storage, replication, snapshots, backups and backup recovery
- Networking: Routing, switching, firewalls, load balancing
- Familiarity with backup and recovery solutions
- Understanding of cyber-resiliency concepts and integration with security controls.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in regulated industries (e.g., financial services, healthcare).
- Certifications: TOGAF, CISSP, AWS/Azure/GCP Architect, VMware VCAP/VCDX.
- Knowledge of automation and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
- Familiarity with NIST CSF, ISO 27001, ISO 22301, and CIS Controls.
Success Metrics
- Achieve defined RTO/RPO targets for critical systems.
- Demonstrate tested recovery capabilities for Tier 0/1 infrastructure.
- Maintain compliance with resiliency and security standards.
- Reduce mean time to recover (MTTR) through automation and orchestration.
Benefits & conditions
NJ: $170,000 to $230,000 base salary + annual bonus target
MA: $170,000 - $230,000 base salary + annual bonus target
