Fractional Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

The ideal candidate will act as both a strategic advisor and technical leader, guiding product decisions, establishing the technology stack, and overseeing development efforts., * Define and lead the overall technical strategy and architecture

• Evaluate current prototype and recommend a scalable rebuild approach
• Select and justify the technology stack (frontend, backend, database, hosting)
• Design infrastructure for real-time bed availability updates
• Ensure platform is built with security, privacy, and scalability in mind
• Oversee and assist in hiring developers or development teams
• Review code and development progress to ensure quality and alignment
• Collaborate on product roadmap and feature prioritization
• Advise on integrations (e.g., messaging, mapping, intake workflows)
• Establish best practices for deployment, testing, and maintenance

• Proven experience as a CTO, Lead Engineer, or Technical Architect (preferably in a startup environment)
• Strong background in full-stack development
• Experience building marketplace platforms or real-time systems
• Familiarity with mobile frameworks such as React Native or Flutter
• Backend experience with technologies such as Node.js, Firebase, or similar
• Understanding of HIPAA or healthcare-related compliance (preferred but not required)
• Experience leading or mentoring development teams
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business strategy

• Monthly Retainer: $2,000 - $10,000 (depending on experience and time commitment)
• Equity Option: 1% - 5% (negotiable based on involvement)
• Flexible structure based on availability and scope
