Job description
The ideal candidate will act as both a strategic advisor and technical leader, guiding product decisions, establishing the technology stack, and overseeing development efforts., * Define and lead the overall technical strategy and architecture
- Evaluate current prototype and recommend a scalable rebuild approach
- Select and justify the technology stack (frontend, backend, database, hosting)
- Design infrastructure for real-time bed availability updates
- Ensure platform is built with security, privacy, and scalability in mind
- Oversee and assist in hiring developers or development teams
- Review code and development progress to ensure quality and alignment
- Collaborate on product roadmap and feature prioritization
- Advise on integrations (e.g., messaging, mapping, intake workflows)
- Establish best practices for deployment, testing, and maintenance
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CTO, Lead Engineer, or Technical Architect (preferably in a startup environment)
- Strong background in full-stack development
- Experience building marketplace platforms or real-time systems
- Familiarity with mobile frameworks such as React Native or Flutter
- Backend experience with technologies such as Node.js, Firebase, or similar
- Understanding of HIPAA or healthcare-related compliance (preferred but not required)
- Experience leading or mentoring development teams
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business strategy

- Monthly Retainer: $2,000 - $10,000 (depending on experience and time commitment)
- Equity Option: 1% - 5% (negotiable based on involvement)
