Job description

  • Deliver end-to-end cybersecurity implementations (on-prem and cloud), including installation, configuration, hardening, and testing
  • Lead technical delivery across secure networking, firewalls, segmentation, identity, and cloud security projects
  • Act as a senior escalation point for engineering teams and support complex issue resolution
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation (HLDs, LLDs, runbooks, migration and rollback plans)
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and stakeholders to ensure structured and secure delivery
  • Ensure alignment with frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS controls
  • Optimise deployed solutions post-implementation (performance, alert tuning, capacity)
  • Integrate security tooling with SIEM/SOAR, ITSM, and automation frameworks
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, providing technical guidance and best practices
  • Support pre-sales activities including solution design, customer presentations, and documentation (e.g. SoWs, RFIs)
  • Maintain certifications and continuously upskill across relevant technologies

Requirements

Skills/Must Have:

  • Strong hands-on experience deploying enterprise security technologies (e.g. NGFW, IDS/IPS, WAF, EDR/XDR, IAM/PAM)
  • Deep understanding of networking and security fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, VPNs, TLS, segmentation)
  • Proven experience delivering projects end-to-end, including migrations and cutovers
  • Experience integrating security tools with logging/SIEM and ITSM platforms
  • Ability to design secure architectures and justify decisions based on risk and business impact
  • Strong documentation capability (HLD/LLD, implementation plans)
  • Experience across modern security domains (SASE, Zero Trust, DLP, endpoint security, privileged access)
  • Comfortable with CLI, automation, or orchestration tools
  • Strong stakeholder communication and problem-solving capability
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities
  • Willingness to travel (UK and internationally)

Desirable Skills:

  • Cloud security expertise (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Knowledge of application security (OWASP, API security)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
  • Exposure to CI/CD security practices
