Join our team as a Forklift & Dock Equipment Parts Specialist, where you will play a critical role in managing procurement, sales, and inventory of essential parts supporting warehouse operations and equipment maintenance.
This is a high-ownership, fast-paced role requiring strong mechanical knowledge, supply chain experience, and the ability to proactively source and deliver the correct parts-especially in time-sensitive situations. You will work closely with vendors, technicians, and customers to ensure seamless operations across forklift and dock/door systems., * Manage the end-to-end purchasing process for forklift and dock/door parts, ensuring timely procurement aligned with demand and operational needs
- Source and sell parts, including hard-to-find and specialty components, across multiple equipment types
- Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships, negotiating pricing and ensuring reliable delivery timelines
- Identify and procure OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts while ensuring quality and compatibility
- Maintain accurate inventory levels, stock controls, and reorder points
- Oversee inventory control and tracking using ERP/CMMS systems and QuickBooks Online
- Create and manage Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure proper documentation and tracking
- Coordinate shipping & receiving, verifying deliveries against POs and resolving discrepancies
- Support technicians and customers by providing technical parts knowledge, quotes, and order fulfillment
- Track all sales, purchases, and inventory transactions within QuickBooks Online
- Utilize Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.) for reporting, communication, and data management
- Collaborate with operations and procurement leadership to improve sourcing strategies and optimize supply chain efficiency
- Monitor pricing, margins, and cost controls to support profitability
Requirements
- Strong working knowledge of forklift systems and parts
- Strong understanding of dock and door equipment (levelers, seals, overhead doors, etc.)
- Proven experience in purchasing, inventory control, or supply chain operations
- Experience sourcing parts using schematics, vendor catalogs, and OEM references
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
- Working knowledge of Purchase Orders (POs) and inventory systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and operate proactively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills with both vendors and internal teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in material handling, industrial maintenance, or equipment service industries
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., AS400) or CMMS platforms
- Prior experience in parts sales or inside sales
- Warehouse experience including shipping & receiving procedures
- Forklift certification
- Existing vendor relationships within forklift or dock/door industries, * Forklift Parts or Repair: 3 years (Required)
