Job description
Insight Global is currently seeking a CNC Application Engineer for a direct-hire opportunity. This role involves 80-90% travel on average, this engineer would need to be flexible. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in CNC machine setup and operation, particularly with Fanuc and Siemens controls. Proficiency in Fanuc MACRO-B programming, including the use of M98, G65/G66, and variable management, as well as Siemens variable data types and macro development, is essential. Experience with pre-meg material deposition onto layup and cure molding is highly valued. Additional strengths include CAD/CAM familiarity (especially CATIA V5 and Siemens NX), use of Renishaw probing systems, laser interferometers, and a solid understanding of 5-axis kinematics, including G43.4, TRAORI, G68.2, and CYCLE800. The role involves developing and debugging custom macros and supporting advanced CNC applications for high-performance manufacturing environments. Overall, they will design, plan, and coordinate the mechanical and software integration for the machine tools, controls, and processes to deliver components for a variety of sector applications such as aerospace, automotive, energy, oil & gas, and heavy equipment.
