Job description

Duke Sys is seeking a motivated Entry-Level Network Associate / Systems Integrator to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with foundational IT or networking knowledge who is looking to build hands-on experience in real-world environments involving network infrastructure, security systems, and low-voltage integrations. You will assist with the installation, configuration, and support of network-connected systems including surveillance cameras, servers, and structured cabling. This position offers strong growth potential for individuals interested in advancing in networking, security systems, and IT infrastructure., * Assist with installation and configuration of IP-based camera systems (CCTV/VMS)

  • Support setup and troubleshooting of network hardware (switches, routers, NICs)
  • Run, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling (Cat5e/Cat6/fiber)
  • Help configure IP addressing, VLANs, and basic network segmentation
  • Work with servers for video storage, logging, and system performance
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues (ping, IP conflicts, bandwidth limitations, etc.)
  • Document installations, network layouts, and configurations
  • Collaborate with senior technicians and project managers on job sites

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driver's License license?, Do you have experience in Computer operation?, * Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP addressing, subnets, DHCP, DNS)

  • Familiarity with computers, operating systems (Windows preferred), and hardware
  • Ability to use basic networking tools (ping, IP scanner, command line)
  • Willingness to learn and work in both technical and physical environments
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting mindset
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, * Experience with security systems (cameras)
  • Basic knowledge of PoE (Power over Ethernet)
  • Experience pulling cable or working in construction/low-voltage environments

Work Environment:

  • Combination of fieldwork and occasional office/server room work
  • May require lifting equipment, climbing ladders, and working in various conditions
  • Travel to job sites as needed, * Estimating: 3 years (Required)
