Systems Engineer/Principal Systems Engineer

This individual will design and develop system architectures and defines key capabilities and performance requirements. They will defines design and technology maturity constraints of the system in accordance with customer specifications, develop thorough definition of system external interfaces, and define system implementation approaches and operational concepts to ensures requirements are met and evaluates performance with customer., * Assist in development of system architectures.

• Architecture, CONOPS, and use case development using model-based systems engineering methodologies.
• Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
• Perform system requirements analysis.
• Automation workflow development of multi-disciplined functional processes in support of various engineering and business processes.

• Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline AND 2 years of related professional/military experience, OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 0 years of related professional/military experience, OR a STEM Ph.D. AND 0 year of related professional/military experience.
• Must have an active DoD Secret clearance or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company.
• Must have experience with Model Based Systems Engineering and Software modeling (SysML/UML) in Rhapsody or Cameo.
• Must have experience with IBM Rational DOORS and technical requirements management generation
• Must have experience with Atlassian Tools Suite (JIRA, Confluence)

• Experience working within an Agile environment
• Familiarity with software development tools such as the Atlassian toolset
• Familiarity with software requirements tools such as DOORS and Rational Rhapsody

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
