Job description
- Network Engineering:
- Design, deploy and maintain secure LAN/WAN architectures for internal operations.
- Configure and manage firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, VLANs, and load balancers
- Ensure high availability, redundancy, and resilience through proactive monitoring and failover strategies.
- Maintain network diagrams, configuration documentation and change control logs in compliance with DoD IT policies.
- Cybersecurity & CMMC Compliance:
- Implement, monitor, and improve technical controls aligned with CMMC Level 2+ and NIST 800-171.
- Develop and enforce System Security Plans, Incident Response Plans and Configuration Management Plans.
- Deploy and manage IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and DLP solutions.
- Support continuous monitoring, logins and audit readiness for DoD requirements.
- Collaborate during cybersecurity audits and CMMC assessments.
- Secure on-premises data exchange with encryption and segmentation.
- Perform DISA STIG implementation assessments on IT platforms and applications.
- Complete DOD RMF Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process to include system categorization, security control baseline selection and tailoring, security control implementation, and assessment.
- Aligning information security programs with DFARS 252.204-7012, NIST SP 800-171 security requirement implementation, and the CMMC assessment guide.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Haigh-Farr is seeking a Network Systems Engineer who has the ability to support enterprise network engineering and DoD-aligned cybersecurity practices, ensuring systems meet Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2+ and NIST SP 800-171 standards to join our Company. An ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of network security principles, excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to maintain the Company's IT infrastructure while meeting the Department of Defense's (DoD's) CMMC requirements., * Experience using automated RMF Assessment and Authorizations (A&A) tools such as eMASS to complete and document DOD compliant RMF A&A activities.
- Experience with Fortinet
- Network architecture and design skills
- Knowledge of CMMC compliance and NIST 800-171
- DoD-aligned cybersecurity practices.
- Configuration management and change control.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical terms plainly
- Security tool deployment and change control.
- Incident response and audit support
Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related field.
- U.S. Person, with ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
