Job description
The Cloud Architect leads the planning, development, and support of secure cloud infrastructure projects. This role provides advanced technical guidance in cloud architecture, automation, and integration. This position works closely with cybersecurity teams and developers to align solutions with accreditation requirements and enterprise DevSecOps practices.

- Oversee automated deployments and infrastructure pipelines
- Define access controls, encryption, and system hardening approaches
- Support cross-functional teams in modernization efforts
- Conduct performance tuning and cost optimization
- Serve as a subject matter expert on cloud architecture best practices
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship Required
- Active DoD Secret Clearance Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of cloud engineering or infrastructure experience
- Experience architecting solutions in AWS GovCloud or Azure Government
- Proficiency with IaC, CI/CD, and container orchestration tools
- If applicable: If you are or have been recently employed by the U.S. government, a post-employment ethics letter will be required if employment with VSolvit is offered
Preferred
- Master's degree or cloud architecture certification
- Experience supporting RMF, FedRAMP, or DISA cloud baselines
- Familiarity with Zero Trust cloud environments
