Job description
Carries out computer operations and provides user support through troubleshooting and performing maintenance. Resolves hardware and software issues to optimize system efficiency and uptime.
Major Tasks and Responsibilities
- Installs basic hardware, software, and telecommunications equipment.
- Conducts remote troubleshooting using diagnostic techniques.
- Records and documents all issues from initial contact through resolution.
- Monitors company systems around the clock to ensure interrupted service for employees.
- Reports internet and circuit outages and collaborates with Internet Service Providers to restore service.
- Provides service access, follows up on requests, and maintains current information.
- Conducts daily maintenance and reports system performance.
Requirements
- Associate degree in computer science or a related field.
- Service desk or customer support experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Basic troubleshooting and technical support skills.
