Job description
- Deploy Windows operating system images to new hardware using SCCM task sequences.
- Execute imaging workflows using PXE boot and/or USB-based methods according to site procedures.
- Validate completed builds against established standards prior to deployment.
- Troubleshoot imaging failures using SCCM logs and diagnostic tools such as CMTrace.
- Receive, stage, and track incoming hardware prior to deployment.
- Replace existing workstation equipment with newly imaged devices at end-user locations.
- Collect and prepare retired equipment for return or proper disposition.
- Coordinate daily deployment schedules with the project lead to ensure timelines are met.
- Verify system functionality at the user level, including login, network access, and peripheral connectivity.
- Provide basic end-user guidance during device handoff as needed.
- Accurately document completed deployments within tracking systems or ticketing tools.
Requirements
We are seeking a Help Desk Technician to support a project-based PC refresh initiative. This role is focused on imaging and deploying new endpoint devices as part of a structured hardware replacement cycle. The position is highly hands-on and execution-driven, requiring strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work efficiently in a production-paced environment., * At least 1 year of hands-on experience using SCCM for operating system deployment
- Working knowledge of Windows 10 and/or Windows 11 environments
- Experience with PXE boot processes, task sequences, and basic imaging troubleshooting
- Dependable, punctual, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
- Ability to review and interpret SCCM logs for issue resolution
- Ability to lift, move, and install equipment up to 40 lbs
- Experience using USMT for user data migration is ideal
- CompTIA A+ or similar certification is preferred
- Familiarity with BitLocker configuration and encryption processes is a plus
- Prior experience supporting PC refresh or large-scale hardware deployment projects is preferred
