Job description

CMIT Solutions is seeking a reliable and customer-focused IT Support Technician to support managed service clients and ensure high-quality service delivery.

This role is responsible for troubleshooting day-to-day technical issues, supporting Microsoft environments, monitoring systems, and maintaining clear documentation. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and able to communicate effectively with end users., * Respond to support tickets in a timely and professional manner

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to: Windows desktops and laptops; Printers and peripherals; Microsoft 365; and Basic networking
  • Monitor alerts and respond to issues through RMM tools
  • Set up and configure workstations, applications, and user accounts
  • Provide remote support using standard remote access tools
  • Document all work clearly within the PSA system
  • Escalate more complex issues as needed
  • Assist with onboarding new clients and device deployments

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist with Active Directory and Microsoft 365 administration
  • Support VPN connectivity and basic network troubleshooting
  • Assist with patching and endpoint security tools
  • Identify recurring issues and contribute to proactive improvements

Requirements

  • 1-2+ years of IT support experience (or equivalent hands-on experience)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Basic knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, and networking concepts
  • Strong communication and customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with tools such as Autotask, ConnectWise, or Datto RMM
  • Basic experience with Active Directory or Entra ID
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications, * Do you have hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration (user management, licensing, or troubleshooting)?
  • Do you have experience with Microsoft Intune or other endpoint management tools?
  • Do you have experience with Entra ID (Azure AD) or identity and access management (IAM)?
  • Have you performed user onboarding/offboarding (account creation, permissions, email setup)?
  • Do you have hands-on experience configuring or troubleshooting VPNs?
  • Do you have experience with endpoint protection or EDR tools (e.g., SentinelOne, CrowdStrike, Defender)?
  • Have you used a ticketing system (e.g., ConnectWise, Autotask, ServiceNow)?

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

  • IT: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

  • CompTIA A+ (Preferred)
  • CompTIA Network+ (Preferred)
