Job description
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented GIS Data Analyst to join our team. The GIS Data Analyst will work at the intersection of data analysis, programming and cartography. The role designs and maintains spatial datasets and workflows, performs repeatable geospatial analyses, and publishes maps, dashboards, and reports that support operational and strategic decision-making. This position is expected to apply governance and quality standards so that spatial data remains accurate, auditable, and aligned across systems., Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Develop and adhere to organizational standards.

Conduct research to develop datastores of data used in analysis.

Analyze spatial data through mapping software.

Design digital maps using geographic data and various other datasets.

Discover patterns and trends through special mapping of data and provide coherent conclusions from analysis.

Produce maps showing the spatial distribution of various kinds of data, including statistics, density, and project viability.

Manage a digital library of geographic maps in various file types.

Produce reports on geographic data using data visualizations.

Create Dashboards and spatial workflows.

Establish processes and procedures for continued analysis and presentations.
11.Works with other teams as needed to update and maintain data sets and processes.
Requirements

· Organized and able to provide and maintain detailed documentation
· Working knowledge of Cartography
· Analytical skills, including ability to research and solve problems independently
QUALIFICATIONS
· Ability to understand reports, maps, drawings or other geographic data for analysis
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Google Maps/Earth and Adobe Acrobat
· Experience with ESRI tools such as ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online
· Experience with building and publishing dashboards, surveys, experience builder applications, and web mapping content within an ESRI environment.
· Experience with Python and SQL preferred; demonstrated ability to automate data prep and analysis steps.
· Candidate must be willing to reside near or commute to a Joink office (Currently within Illinois: Taylorville, Hillsboro; Indiana: Terre Haute), · Must be able to spend long hours using a computer/keyboard and/or phone. May involve prolonged periods of sitting, standing, or walking.
