Job description
We are seeking an experienced NOC Lead Engineer to oversee network operations, lead a team of engineers, and ensure timely resolution of network issues. The role involves supervising daily NOC activities, improving processes, and collaborating with cross-functional IT teams., * Supervise and mentor L1 and L2 NOC Engineers
- Oversee response to network alerts and hardware malfunctions
- Ensure timely diagnosis and troubleshooting of network errors
- Track and document network issues; compile and review incident reports
- Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement preventive measures
- Lead and coordinate bridge calls for P1/P2 issues
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for network operations
- Ensure continuous improvement of network monitoring and incident response processes
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless network operations
Requirements
Need a NOC Lead who has architect level knowledge and should be able to work in hybrid - 3 days a week.
Skills for success:
Palo Alto firewalls / Juniper SRX firewalls
Juniper Mist wireless and wireless authentication
Juniper / Cisco access layer switching
SD-WAN
L3 routing (BGP preferred)
Datacenter switching (ACI / VXLAN fabrics preferred)
Cloud networking (Azure / GCP preferred)
Load balancing (F5 preferred), * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar field
- Extensive experience working as a NOC Engineer
- Proven leadership experience in a Network Operations Center or similar environment
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- In-depth knowledge of networking and devices such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, VPN, and access points
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
