Job description

The MDM professional is responsible for managing, maintaining, and governing enterprise master data (Material, Vendor, Customer) to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance across systems like SAP, PLM, and ERP., 1. Master Data Management

  • Create, update, extend, and deactivate master data (Material, Vendor, Customer)
  • Maintain data in SAP systems (MM01, MM02, MM03, etc.)
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across systems
  1. Data Governance & Quality
  • Ensure compliance with data standards, policies, and governance frameworks
  • Monitor and improve data quality metrics
  • Perform audits and validation checks
  1. Data Migration & Integration
  • Support migration activities (legacy to SAP S/4HANA or MDM platforms)
  • Ensure smooth integration between SAP, PLM, and other enterprise systems
  1. Workflow & Process Management
  • Handle master data workflows and approvals
  • Manage SLA-based requests and prioritize tasks
  • Automate workflows using tools like LSMW, Winshuttle
  1. Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Work with business teams, engineering, procurement, and IT
  • Support product lifecycle data (BOM, engineering data)
  1. Reporting & Analysis
  • Generate reports and dashboards on data quality
  • Analyze data issues and recommend improvements

Requirements

Technical Skills

  • SAP MDM / SAP MM / SAP S4 HANA
  • Material Master, Vendor Master, Customer Master
  • Tools: LSMW, Winshuttle, SE16, SQVI
  • SQL, Excel, ETL tools (good to have)
  • Knowledge of PLM tools like Teamcenter

Functional Skills

  • Strong understanding of data governance & data lifecycle
  • Experience in ERP systems and business processes
  • Knowledge of supply chain / procurement processes, * Bachelor's degree (Engineering / Commerce / IT preferred)
  • 3-10+ years of experience in SAP MDM / Data Management roles
  • Experience in enterprise-level data handling

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication with global stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with MDM tools like Informatica, Collibra, Talend
  • Experience in migration projects (e.g., Blue Prism to iAutomate or SAP upgrades)
  • Exposure to automation and scripting
