- Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure on GCP
- Architect and manage GCP services such as Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and Cloud Functions
- Define and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Deployment Manager
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable seamless application deployment
- Establish platform engineering best practices, standards, and governance frameworks
- Drive containerization and orchestration strategies using Kubernetes (GKE)
- Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of cloud environments
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using tools like Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana
- Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to enable DevOps culture
- Lead cost optimization and cloud governance initiatives
- Ensure compliance with security standards and implement IAM policies and best practices
- Mentor and guide engineering teams, conduct code reviews, and enforce best practices
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and deployment issues
Requirements
We are seeking an experienced Lead GCP Platform Engineer to design, build, and manage scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will lead platform engineering initiatives, define cloud architecture standards, and enable development teams through robust infrastructure, automation, and DevOps best practices. This role requires strong technical leadership, hands-on expertise, and the ability to drive cloud transformation initiatives., * Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Expertise in GCP services such as GKE, Compute Engine, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Pub/Sub
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
- Strong experience with Kubernetes and containerization (Docker)
- Experience in building CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (VPC, Load Balancing, DNS, Firewalls)
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Stackdriver, Prometheus, Grafana)
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar)
- Experience with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket, GitHub)
- Knowledge of security best practices and cloud compliance frameworks
Good to Have
- Experience with multi-cloud environments (AWS/Azure)
- Knowledge of service mesh technologies (Istio)
- Experience with data engineering or analytics platforms on GCP
- Familiarity with SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) principles
- Experience in FinOps and cost optimization strategies

Experience
- 8+ years of overall IT experience
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with GCP
- Prior experience in a lead or architect role preferred
