Job description
We're looking for a Frontend Engineer to own and evolve the systems that power VulnCheck's user-facing products-our web platform and marketing website. This is a hands-on role where you'll drive the direction of the product UI, maintain and improve the website, and collaborate closely with Product to shape how customers experience VulnCheck's intelligence. Although this is a 100% remote role, candidates must be located in Massachusetts, Maryland, or Greater Austin, TX.
What You'll Do
- Own the product UI end-to-end: architecture, development, and continuous improvement
- Lead frontend direction-establishing patterns, component systems, and design standards
- Build and maintain the marketing website, balancing speed with quality
- Write clean, maintainable code across the stack (frontend-first, with backend context as needed)
- Partner closely with Product and Design to translate requirements into polished user experiences
- Improve performance, accessibility, and reliability of customer-facing interfaces
- Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to frontend architecture decisions
- Debug and resolve production UI issues with durable, thoughtful solutions
- Mentor other engineers on frontend best practices and contribute to engineering culture
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and shipping production web applications
- Background in cybersecurity or technical data products
- Strong proficiency in modern frontend frameworks (React preferred)
- Full-stack competence-comfortable working across the codebase, backend experience a plus
- Experience owning a product UI or web property end-to-end
- Solid understanding of web performance, accessibility, and browser compatibility
- Ability to work closely with designers and translate visual direction into high-quality implementations
- Strong ownership mindset-you notice what's broken and fix it without being asked
- Clear communication and ability to collaborate cross-functionally, * Experience in B2B SaaS or developer-facing products
- Familiarity with design systems or component library ownership
- Experience in high-growth or startup environments
