Job description

We are looking for an experienced Technology Program Manager to build, lead, and continuously improve our Technology and Application Portfolio. This role will oversee project governance, standards, reporting, and delivery across key technology initiatives.

The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on-able to create scalable frameworks while actively leading projects and providing executive leadership with clear insight into progress, risks, and results.

PMO Leadership & Governance

  • Design and manage project intake, prioritization, and portfolio processes aligned with business goals
  • Standardize project documentation, approvals, and stage-gate processes
  • Establish and maintain PMO governance, methodologies, and best practices (Agile, Waterfall, Lean, Hybrid)

Portfolio & Program Management

  • Manage the IT project portfolio, balancing priorities, resources, risks, and dependencies
  • Oversee commercial software pipeline by reviewing customer feedback, market solutions, and product enhancements
  • Build strategic product roadmaps and lead prioritization discussions
  • Provide executive reporting on timelines, budgets, risks, and business value
  • Partner with business and IT leaders to align initiatives with company strategy

Delivery Excellence

  • Drive accountability, execution, and successful outcomes across projects
  • Identify risks early and lead mitigation efforts
  • Improve delivery processes using lessons learned and performance metrics
  • Evaluate project success and user adoption after launch

Financial & Resource Management

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and financial results
  • Assist with resource planning and demand management across technology initiatives

Stakeholder & Communication Management

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CIO and key internal/external stakeholders
  • Communicate project updates, risks, and decisions to all levels of the organization
  • Lead steering committees and executive review meetings as needed

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in technology project, program, or portfolio management
  • 3+ years of PMO leadership or PMO operations experience
  • Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Kanban, and hybrid delivery models
  • PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, Six Sigma, or similar certification preferred
  • Experience with portfolio/project tools such as Smartsheet, Planview, Clarity, Jira, MS Project, or MS Planner
  • Experience delivering and managing commercial/public software solutions
  • Proven success working with executives and cross-functional teams
  • Strong reporting, analytics, and executive presentation skills
  • Background delivering enterprise technology solutions
