Job description
- Assist in gathering and developing business requirements.
- Create comprehensive project plans and manage execution.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues.
- Ensure all deliverables are completed on time and with high quality.
- Provide regular status reporting, both written and verbal, to stakeholders and leadership.
- Collaborate with internal teams, management, and external vendors to support project execution.
- Maintain and manage project documentation, metrics, and reporting.
- Support portfolio/program planning activities and related deliverables.
- Perform other project-related duties as needed.
Requirements
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager / Project Lead to oversee multiple IT projects within a healthcare-focused environment. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to ensure successful project delivery, stakeholder alignment, and adherence to timelines and quality standards., * Bachelor's degree in technical, business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 3+ years of project management experience.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in healthcare insurance IT environments.
- Experience in project planning, including effort estimation and resource allocation.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to leadership.
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously., * Experience with Medicaid or healthcare delivery systems.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
- Experience working with tools such as:
- SharePoint
- MS Project
- Visio
- PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access
- Familiarity with risk management practices, including identifying triggers and mitigation strategies.
- Experience creating and maintaining project management artifacts and documentation., * Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration abilities
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong analytical and planning capabilities
- Ability to influence and align teams with diverse and competing priorities
