Job description

· Provide technical support either by phone, remote access, or site visits as needed.

· Provide help desk support for desktop issues.

· Keep systems up-to-date through operating system upgrades.

· Oversee troubleshooting for system errors.

· Respond to and evaluate IT issues including but not limited to hardware maintenance, software, connectivity, and networking.

· Modify configurations, utilities, and software when appropriate.

· Set up new desktops and laptops from start to finish.

· Resolve, respond to, and update tickets in Ticketing Systems.

· Document issues and resolution in IT Documentation Systems.

· Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

The IT Technician position is an entry level role for our Information Technology and Help Desk departments. Employees in this position are expected to display a high level of customer service. Additionally, those in the IT Technician role are goal-oriented and organized, with the ability to resolve Level 1 customer issues and escalate to another internal resource when appropriate., · 1-3 years of experience providing end-user support.

· 1-3 year of hands-on desktop support experience, including but not limited to:

o Desktop and laptop hardware;

o MS Windows 10 and 11;

o MS Office 2016/Office 365 applications;

o Mobile devices (i.e. iPhone, Android, etc.);

o VoIP Phone Services (Hosted VoIP Solutions).

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Comfortable speaking to clients regarding their technology needs and making recommendations.

· Ability to work through issues from start to finish and report back with root causes and recommendations.

· Ability to resolve issues related to Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, printing, desktop hardware and connectivity issues.

· Ability to work from a ticketing system and provide quality updates to clients and internal teams.

· Ability and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Preferred Skills

· 1 year of hands-on Server Administration experience, including but not limited to:

o Active Directory / Directory Services (AD, DNS, DHCP, WINS);

o Hands-on desktop experience (WIN10 and WIN 11) and troubleshooting;

o HP / Dell Server hardware;

o Email Systems / Message Integration and Collaboration / Office 365.

· Experience with hands-on support of Mac OS.

· Proactive mindset; Ability to foresee possible issues and take proactive steps to prevent them.

· Hands-on server hardware experience and comfortable installing parts and racking/stacking systems when necessary.
