Software Tester

We are hiring Software Tester. This position will be remote with travel to meetings with customer as needed in either Washington, D.C. or Alexandria, Virginia.

As the Software Tester for our Federal Protective Service (FPS) Revenue Management Systems (RMS) contract, you will be part of a team that will be responsible for all activities and efforts needed to design/develop, test, deploy, train, and operate & maintain/support the Revenue Management System (RMS).

Responsibilities

• Perform smoke testing, integration testing, regression testing, and formal qualification testing in an agile systems development environment.
• Document system problems and verify fixes.
• Design, develop, and maintain system test plans, test cases, test procedures, and automated tests in compliance with program functional, technical, and performance requirements.
• Work with the lead test engineer and a team of systems engineers and software developers to establish and develop test methods and techniques.
• Troubleshoot and modify test tools and test scripts.
• Generate test data, perform test data analysis, and develop test documentation.
• Perform system integration of COTS, GOTS, and organic hardware and software.
• Participate in formal inspection process, customer meetings, and user events.
• Provide support to customer testers during acceptance testing, including test procedure walkthroughs, documentation of testing issues and test results, and answering questions on system functionality.

Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * High school diploma or GED equivalent and 3 years of applicable experience. Will also consider BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering with 0 years of experience.

• 1 to 2 years' experience testing high performance web-based applications with automated test tools
• Proven experience with test script development and execution preferably in a Microsoft ASP.Net / MS SQL Server environment.
• Experience in Selenium WebDriver, NUnit, xUnit, and .NET ecosystem.
• Experience in PostgreSQL with pgAdmin, and simple SQL queries.
• Exposure to AWS EKS and GitLab preferred.
• Be able to work well in a collaborative environment.
