Job description

Administer and support the Microsoft 365 platform, including services such as Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and related administrative functions. Support the administration and integration of Azure-based services in support of Microsoft 365, identity, and enterprise cloud operations. Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline system administration, monitoring, security updates, and platform integration. Implement and support security and compliance technologies in alignment with University standards, including data loss prevention (DLP), data classification, and related Microsoft 365 security and compliance capabilities. Support and maintain identity and access management services, including Okta, Active Directory, SAML-based authentication, identity federation, and single sign-on (SSO) integrations. Work closely with the Academic Technology team to support account provisioning, deprovisioning, and access management processes for University systems and services. Support reporting, data retrieval, reconciliation, and querying needs involving the University's Student Information System (SIS) and other enterprise platforms. Leverage REST APIs to support system integrations, data retrieval, reporting, and automation across cloud and enterprise services. Monitor system performance and availability, respond to alerts, troubleshoot issues, and implement timely resolutions. Monitor cloud resource usage and support efforts to maintain cost-effective operations. Create and maintain accurate technical documentation for systems, procedures, integrations, and security controls. Collaborate effectively with Information Technology, Information Security, Academic Technology, and other University stakeholders to deliver reliable and secure technology solutions.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Minimum three years of professional experience in a multi-platform enterprise environment. Experience administering or supporting the Microsoft 365 platform. Proficiency with PowerShell and/or Python for automation and system administration. Proficiency in SQL and strong experience with data querying, reporting, analysis, and reconciliation. Experience leveraging REST APIs for system integration, automation, and data retrieval. Experience with Active Directory, Exchange Online, and SharePoint administration. Experience with Okta or a comparable identity platform, including SAML authentication, identity federation, and single sign-on (SSO) integrations. Familiarity with data loss prevention (DLP), data classification, and cloud security best practices. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative, high-performing team. Preferred Qualifications Microsoft 365 or Azure certifications (e.g., MS-102, AZ-104). Okta certification or demonstrated hands-on Okta administration experience, including Okta Workflows, SCIM provisioning, or lifecycle management. Familiarity with identity lifecycle management, account provisioning, and deprovisioning processes. Experience supporting reporting and data requests involving enterprise systems such as a Student Information System (SIS). Experience working in a higher education environment. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 services and administration. Understanding of cloud architecture, enterprise applications, and system integration practices. Ability to manage and support identity and access management technologies in a secure and compliant manner. Strong understanding of scripting, automation, data querying, and reconciliation concepts. Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple tasks, and respond effectively in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to customer service, collaboration, and support of the University's mission.
