Samaritan's Purse is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Information Technology department in Coppell, TX. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will serve as a hands-on technical leader responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and infrastructure-as-code solutions that support the reliable delivery of Samaritan Ark products. Working closely with the Lead Cloud Engineer and cross-functional product teams, you will drive DevOps best practices, operational excellence, and secure software delivery across development and production environments. You will lead complex automation initiatives, mentor junior DevOps Engineers, and collaborate across product, platform, cybersecurity, and partner success teams to deliver scalable, consistent, and mission-aligned solutions. A day in the life of a Senior DevOps Engineer:

In the role of Senior DevOps Engineer, you will have the opportunity to:
- Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
- Work closely with the Lead Cloud Engineer and product teams to design, implement, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and infrastructure-as-code solutions that support the reliable delivery of ministry-critical workloads.
- Design, provision, and automate secure, scalable deployment pipelines and release management workflows using Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD tools to support development and production environments.
- Mentor and provide technical oversight to DevOps Engineers, promoting skill development and engineering excellence.
- Serve as a key contributor in the evaluation and adoption of emerging DevOps technologies and practices, advocating for improvements in deployment velocity, reliability, and maintainability.
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and long-term remediation for deployment and pipeline failures.
- Partner with cybersecurity and compliance teams to implement secure software delivery practices, access controls, and governance standards.
- Contribute to internal tooling and documentation to improve team productivity, technical consistency, and system knowledge-sharing.
- Monitor application and infrastructure performance, implement observability solutions, and support capacity planning and optimization.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Utilizes various Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to assist in optimizing engineering builds.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Do you have experience in System performance monitoring?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field of study and seven (7) or more years of DevOps Engineering experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipeline design, deployment automation, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using tools such as Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies, with the ability to design and manage scalable, secure, and reliable deployment processes.
- Experience with Linux system administration, scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, and Python), and containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm), including deploying and managing applications at scale.
- Experience with monitoring, observability, and operational excellence practices, including logging, metric aggregation, alerting, and performance monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or similar platforms, with the ability to apply Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions to support DevOps workflows, automation, and operational efficiency.
- 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, an opportunity to meet and complete the requirement is available upon hire.
