Job description
We are currently hiring a Technician 2 to support our global client's Firmware Supplies Team onsite in Vancouver, WA. This role is technical in nature and the ideal candidate would benefit from experience in an ever-evolving R&D team culture. This is a full-time, onsite, long-term position with Monday-Friday day shift hours. You must reside locally to the client-site in Vancouver, Washington, and must already be eligible for employment in the US without visa sponsorship.
- Performs manual and automated firmware tests to determine the functionality of mechanical or computer equipment. Includes manually gathering data from FW/printer logs.
- Participates with engineers in the testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of new and existing equipment and products.
- Applies knowledge and technical experience to moderately complex projects that require independent judgment to resolve problems.
- Completes work with limited supervision and general instructions for new assignments.
- Run test scripts via PC according to specific guidelines and procedures.
- Troubleshoot and edit test scripts as needed
- Observe printer behavior and compare test results with predetermined parameters.
- Collect and accurately report test data using predetermined spreadsheets and applicable databases.
- Maintain accurate logs, records, metrics, and follows procedures.
- Remove and install printer consumables such as toner cartridges and paper.
- Flexibility to support other labs and projects, as requested.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Productivity software?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills required with the ability to effectively communicate with varied levels of employees.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Be physically able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Be physically able to sit or stand for extended periods, climb step stools, bend, kneel and stoop frequently.
- Be willing to perform repetitive, sometimes sedentary work.
- Strong attention to detail with ability to follow detailed directions.
- At minimum, intermediate user knowledge and experience with PC's including Microsoft Office products like Word, Excel, and Access with comfortability navigating and viewing web pages.
- 2-year STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) technical/college diploma is highly desirable. On-the-job firmware work experience and job skills training in lieu of a 2-year college diploma is acceptable. The minimum educational level expectation is a high school diploma or has passed GED (General Educational Development) examinations.
- Minimum 2 years' work experience as a technician in a product development test environment preferred. 2 years' work experience requirement can be waived/reduced depending on education qualifications, skillset, industry standard certifications or other related industry work experience.

- A competitive pay of $17.50-$18/hr., depending on relevant experience.
