Do you have experience in Zoning regulations?, NYC design firm seeks a talented, enthusiastic, and self-motivated Senior Project Architect to join our team. Kostow Greenwood Architects is a dedicated studio focused on work in the performing arts, media, broadcast, and real estate development industries. We encourage continuing education for all team members, provide NCARB/AXP experience fulfillment, and offer paid time to take ARE exams., * 7+ years of post-graduate professional experience in an architecture office.

  • Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • NYS architectural licensure strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of NYC Building Code, ADA, zoning, and NYC filing/review processes, with experience on built projects.
  • Ability to independently lead projects from concept design through construction administration with limited principal oversight.
  • Comfortable serving as the primary day-to-day client contact and representing KGA in meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and agencies.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, teams, schedules, and consultant coordination simultaneously.
  • Ability to produce and oversee complex drawing sets with minimal supervision.
  • Experience mentoring and managing junior staff and fostering strong team collaboration.
  • Strong design, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Additional software experience including Rhino, SketchUp, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
  • Familiarity with building systems and the ability to coordinate across multiple consultant disciplines.
  • Reliable, focused, creative, detail-oriented, and proactive.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professional presence.
  • Interest in building long-term client relationships and contributing to future business opportunities for the firm.
  • Sense of humor and collaborative attitude appreciated.
