Job description
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Systems Administrator to support and maintain a multi-location IT environment. This role is responsible for administering core Microsoft technologies, supporting end users, managing infrastructure and cloud services, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and assisting with ongoing IT operations and projects., Microsoft 365 Administration
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 tenants, including:
- User and license management
- Azure AD / Entra ID administration
- Security and compliance settings
- MFA and conditional access policies
- Teams and OneDrive administration
- Monitor tenant health and resolve Microsoft 365-related issues.
- Support Microsoft Defender, spam filtering, and email security policies.
Exchange Online Administration
- Manage and maintain Exchange Online environments.
- Create and manage:
- Mailboxes
- Shared mailboxes
- Distribution groups
- Mail flow rules
- Retention policies
- Troubleshoot mail delivery, Outlook connectivity, and mobile device synchronization issues.
- Support migrations, mailbox permissions, and archival policies.
SharePoint Administration
- Administer SharePoint Online sites, libraries, permissions, and workflows.
- Support document management and collaboration initiatives.
- Assist departments with SharePoint structure, access requests, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain best practices for file organization and permissions management.
SQL Database Administration & Reporting
- Perform SQL database administration tasks including backups, maintenance, and performance monitoring.
- Write and troubleshoot SQL queries, stored procedures, and reports.
- Support integrations, data imports/exports, and reporting processes.
- Assist with troubleshooting application and database connectivity issues.
Help Desk & Technical Support
- Provide Level 1 & Level 2 technical support for end users across multiple company locations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve:
- Hardware and software issues
- Printer and peripheral problems
- Network connectivity issues
- Windows operating system issues
- Mobile device support requests
- Support remote users via phone, email, and remote support tools.
- Document issues, resolutions, and procedures within the ticketing system.
Infrastructure & Systems Support
- Support Windows servers, desktops, laptops, and network-connected devices.
- Assist with system upgrades, deployments, and IT projects.
- Monitor systems for uptime, performance, and security.
- Coordinate with vendors and third-party providers as needed.
- Maintain accurate IT documentation and asset inventories.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 environments, Exchange Online, SharePoint administration, SQL database management and querying, and Level 1 & 2 help desk support. This individual must be capable of working independently, prioritizing multiple tasks, and providing excellent technical and customer service support across several business locations., * Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Systems Administration or IT Support roles.
- Experience supporting multiple office or operational locations.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Microsoft 365 Administration
- Exchange Online
- SharePoint Online
- SQL Server administration and SQL queries
- Windows 10/11 and Windows Server environments
- Experience providing Level 1 & Level 2 Help Desk support.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and Wi-Fi.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with:
- PowerShell scripting
- Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager
- Azure / Entra ID
- Backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V
- Ticketing and remote management systems
- Microsoft certifications are a plus.
