Job description

The Social Media Specialist supports the execution of day-to-day social media activities to help build brand loyalty and engage audiences across all RaceTrac social channels. This role focuses on content creation, content scheduling, community engagement, reporting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. What You'll Do: Create content and schedule social media posts across platforms Travel occasionally to support social coverage at new store openings and/ or events Maintain social media content calendars Monitor comments, messages, and mentions Routinely respond to comments or inquiries using approved guidelines and tone of voice Escalate sensitive or complex issues to senior team members Track social media metrics to measure the effectiveness of organic posts and campaigns, providing regular reports and insights for continuous improvement Assist with preparing simple performance reports and dashboards Support marketing campaigns, promotions, and launches through social media Coordinate with designers, copywriters, and other team members to gather assets Assist with influencer campaign coordination when needed Stay current on social media trends, tools, and platform updates Participate in training and coaching to build social media and digital marketing skills Follow social media policies, brand guidelines, and escalation protocols Support brand reputation by maintaining professional and consistent online interactions Support in agency management through brief development and content reviews Support invoicing and budget tracking, At RaceTrac, our people make the difference. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field (or equivalent internship experience) 1-2 years experience in social media, digital marketing, communications, or related internships Excellent written and verbal communication skills Able to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with major social media platforms and trends Basic experience with content creation tools (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, Capcut, etc) Comfort using social media management or analytics tools (or willingness to learn) Strong attention to detail and time management skills
