Job description
We're partnering with a rapidly growing and innovative semiconductor company at the forefront of secure embedded technology. They are seeking a Systems Architect to lead the definition and development of the end-to-end architecture for their next-generation security-focused embedded products.
This role will sit at the intersection of hardware, embedded firmware, FPGA technologies, and software, ensuring seamless integration into a secure, high-performance system architecture. You'll collaborate within a highly skilled, multidisciplinary engineering environment, working alongside experts across a range of technical domains.
The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset, motivated to push boundaries and contribute to the evolution of a breakthrough product.
Responsibilities
- Translate customer and product requirements into a comprehensive system architecture spanning board-level hardware, FPGA data/control planes, and embedded software stacks
- Define and optimise hardware/software partitioning to achieve the best balance of performance, latency, power efficiency, and security
- Embed security-by-design principles across the platform, including secure boot, hardware root of trust, key management, and encrypted communication channels
- Create and maintain clear architectural documentation, interface specifications, and system-level design definitions
- Provide technical leadership throughout system integration, validation, and performance testing activities across cross-functional engineering teams
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in system architecture for embedded, secure, or network-centric products
- Strong background in embedded systems and hardware/software co-design
- Solid understanding of secure system design methodologies and threat modelling
- Ability to operate across the full technology stack, including hardware, FPGA/MCU/ASIC platforms, and embedded software layers
