Job description

(The final rate can vary depending on level of experience and the form of the contract) Our client: American multinational information technology company based in Spring, Texas. It is a business-focused organization which works in servers, storage, networking, containerization software and consulting and support. Role Overview We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Inventory & Document Control Support Specialist to provide operational support across inventory management, document control, and vendor operations. This role is a full-time onsite position in Erskine and requires close collaboration with internal teams including operations, finance, IT, and vendor partners. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting audits, and ensuring efficient documentation processes., Inventory Support

  • Assess inventory and generate reports to identify aged WIP (Work in Progress) inventory
  • Collaborate with delivery leads and inventory controllers to prioritize and coordinate investigations
  • Investigate and resolve blockages preventing inventory movement
  • Support day-to-day inventory operations and ensure data accuracy
  • Compile monthly recycle forecasts for Finance
  • Monitor inventory batch jobs and resolve processing issues
  • Run and reconcile inventory discrepancy journals to correct sync errors
  • Identify and escalate systemic issues, working with IT support where needed

Document Control

  • Support the administration of the document control system (SharePoint)
  • Assist with technical documentation and authoring
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation
  • Prepare for and participate in internal and customer audits
  • Ensure compliance with documentation standards and processes

Vendor Operations (Backup Support)

  • Provide backup support for vendor operations processes
  • Respond to vendor and internal queries
  • Process buyouts and vendor transactions
  • Coordinate vendor recycling consignments
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for vendor activities

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience in inventory management, operations, or supply chain support
  • Familiarity with reporting and data analysis (e.g., Excel or similar tools)
  • Experience working with document control systems (e.g., SharePoint)
  • Ability to investigate issues and coordinate resolutions across teams
  • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
  • Comfortable working in a fully onsite environment (5 days per week in Erskine)

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting audits and compliance processes
  • Exposure to ERP or inventory management systems
  • Basic understanding of finance processes related to inventory
  • Experience working with IT teams to resolve system-related issues
