Software Developer - SAP ABAP Developer

The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, integrating, and supporting SAP solutions using ABAP, SAP Fiori, SAP CPI, APIs, and SAP S/4 HANA technologies. The position requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and collaboration with functional and infrastructure teams across multiple business environments.

The role is primarily based in London, with travel to client locations across the UK and internationally as required.

• Own the SAP Development and Integration landscape utilizing:
• SAP ABAP
• SAP Fiori
• SAP CPI (Cloud Platform Integration)
• Facilitate:
• Technical requirement gathering
• Blueprinting
• Technical documentation

• Implementation of SAP technical solutions
• Develop and maintain CPI integrations using:
• APIs
• IFLOWs
• SFTP
• Work closely with the SAP Basis team to administer and optimize integration environments
• Develop IFLOWs using adapters such as:
• REST
• SOAP
• OData
• Create and publish API proxies and API endpoints within SAP API Portal
• Apply API security policies including:
• OAuth 2.0
• SAML
• Support synchronous and asynchronous API integrations
• Maintain integrations between SAP and non-SAP systems through APIs and SFTP
• Administer connections between:
• SAP S/4 HANA
• SAP CPI
• Concur
• Ariba
• IBP
• Enterprise applications
• Collaborate with:
• Security teams
• SAP functional owners
• Infrastructure teams

• Troubleshoot and resolve high-priority production and integration issues

Required Experience

• Minimum 3 years of SAP ABAP Development experience in SAP S/4 HANA
• Minimum 3 years of experience gathering and analyzing requirements for SAP modules including:
• FICO
• SD
• MM
• PP
• DS

Technical Skills

• SAP ABAP Development in SAP S/4 HANA
• SAP Fiori, UI5, OData Services, and Workflow
• SAP CPI integrations using APIs, IFLOWs, REST, SOAP, and SFTP
• Experience with IDOCs, RFC, BAPIs, EDI, and ALE interfaces
• Knowledge of Enhancements, BADIs, User Exits, and ABAP Objects
• Debugging, performance tuning, runtime analysis, and system monitoring
• Front-end technologies including HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS
• Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager and Agile methodologies
• Understanding of DevOps tools and relational databases such as Microsoft SQL and Oracle
