Sr C++ Engineer

As a Senior C++ Software Engineer, you'll be part of our PTP Platform development group.The group is broken into smaller scrum teams that each hold responsibility for a key area ofsystem functionality. You'll become involved with all phases of the development lifecycleand take ownership of key functional areas.

The PTP Platform is a leading-edge, cloud-based Securities Processing solution thatprovides trade lifecycle processing for a wide range of global financial institutions.As a Senior C++ Software Engineer, you will be involved in:* Strategic enhancements to the platform as well as on client implementation projects* Helping to grow and enhance our PTP software platform* Analysis of user requirements and translation into solution design* Estimating and breaking down tasks into manageable chunks* Implementation of new features and feature enhancements* Leading code reviews and enforcing best practice within a small, agile, focused team* Mentoring junior colleaguesWhat you will need:* 7+ years of commercial software development experience using C++* SQL experience* Unix/Linux experience* Relevant degree in a numeric discipline, or equivalent work experience* Excellent written and spoken EnglishBonus if you have:* Oracle Experience* Experience of event-driven distributed messaging (e.g. Kafka)* Experience of financial markets and the trade lifecycle beneficial* C# and any GUI development experience
