Data Scientist As a Data Scientist, you will leverage a broad range of techniques across statistics, machine learning, and business intelligence to turn data into actionable business insights. You'll tackle complex analytical problems, applying advanced methods where appropriate to uncover trends and inform decision-making. This role spans the full data lifecycle-from data collection and processing to modeling and delivering ongoing insights-ensuring solutions are both scalable and impactful. This role requires you to operate in a fast-paced environment that requires both creativity and adaptability, managing projects end-to-end from initial requirements and experimentation through testing and production deployment. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
- Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies.
- Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
- Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
- Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, and targeting and other business outcomes.
- Develop company A/B testing framework and test model quality
- Communicate, translate, and simplify business requirements to ensure buy-in from all departments
- Monitor and report project progress, with regards to objectives, timeframe, scope, quality, and ROI
- Participate in projects to provide data and analyses as needed
- Understand the context in which data is used within the business, and match business requirements to the sources of data within systems
- Ensure stakeholders fully understand, and can interpret the data provided to them
- Travel to Evansville, IN twice a year

Requirements
- Bachelors in relevant technical field
- 2 or more years of analytical work experience preferred
- Experience working with and creating data architectures
- Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
- Willingness to work as a team and independently.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S., * Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development
- Partner with other data scientists to deliver and build models and analyses
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams
- Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks preferred
- Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) application experience preferred
- Available to travel for training or as needed.
