Sr. Data Analytics Engineer - SQL/ Power BI / Python - San Ramon, CA

In this role, you will play a critical role in our data management and analytics initiatives. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex SQL queries, Stored Procedures, and database solutions and Power BI Visualizations to support our business objectives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SQL and Python development, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment., * Design, develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database solutions to meet business requirements.

• Develop and maintain SSIS packages for ETL processes to integrate data from various sources.
• Utilize Python for data processing, automation, and ETL support tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements and translate then into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in timely manner.
• Create and maintain documentation for database schemas, data flows and processes., * Designed, developed, and maintained interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to deliver actionable business insights.
• Translated complex datasets into clear visualizations by leveraging DAX, Power Query, and advanced data modeling techniques.
• Integrated data from multiple sources (SQL Server, Excel, APIs, cloud platforms) ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and performance optimization.
• Collaborated with cross-functional teams to define KPIs, track metrics, and support data-driven decision-making.
• Implemented row-level security (RLS) and governance best practices to protect sensitive information.
• Automated reporting processes, reducing manual effort and improving report delivery speed by X%.

Years of experience --- (5+) years SQL

• Must have Proficient in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures and triggers.
• Experience in designing and implementing SSIS packages for ETL processes.
• Experience in other SQL Server components such as SSRS and SSAS is a Plus.
• Strong understanding of database design principles and normalization techniques.
• Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.

Python

• Proficiency in Python programming language and strong understanding of native data structures.
• Experience using Python for data manipulation, automation, and ETL processes.
• Familiarity with libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, or similar for data analysis is a plus.
