Job description

ATC is seeking an early-career Digital Design Engineer to develop digital systems and circuit designs using advanced processor, DSP, memory and FPGA technologies. This role is part of the Advanced Solutions Group which designs electronics for state-of-the-art sensing and processing systems. Key responsibilities include digital systems definition; design, simulation, and verification of digital circuits; board-level designs; and implementation of high-speed digital signal processing in FPGAs. Additional duties include conducting signal-integrity and timing analyses, developing power budgets and supporting designs through production, testing and operational deployment. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of systems, electrical, RF, mechanical, thermal, software and firmware engineers, as well as manufacturing, quality assurance and test personnel supporting space and airborne systems.

Requirements

Required qualifications include a B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) and 1-2+ years of relevant experience; however, ATC is willing to train a motivated candidate with strong fundamentals. Experience with high-speed FPGA designs (>250 MHz), digital signal processing (e.g. filters, algorithms, etc.), single-event effects (SEE) mitigation, and HDL-based simulation, synthesis and hardware integration is highly desirable.

Candidates must be US citizens eligible for a Top-Secret US Government security clearance.
