Job description

Join our dynamic IT support team as a Desktop Support Technician, where your technical expertise and customer service skills will drive seamless technology experiences across our organization. In this energized role, you will be the frontline hero for resolving hardware and software issues, managing computer systems, and ensuring our IT infrastructure runs smoothly. Your proactive approach will empower users to work efficiently and confidently in a fast-paced environment, making a tangible difference every day., * Provide expert technical support to end-users for desktop, laptop, and peripheral hardware issues across Windows and macOS operating systems.

  • Troubleshoot software problems related to Microsoft Office applications, operating systems, and various enterprise software using tools like ServiceNow, Jira, and BMC Remedy.
  • Manage computer hardware setups, upgrades, repairs, and inventory tracking to ensure optimal performance.
  • Assist with network connectivity issues involving LAN (Local Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), firewalls, and other network components to maintain secure and reliable access.
  • Support IT infrastructure by configuring and maintaining network devices, switches, and wireless access points.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to resolve complex issues related to computer management, security protocols, and system configurations.
  • Document incidents and resolutions meticulously while maintaining clear communication with users throughout the support process.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of help desk operations by sharing insights on common issues and potential solutions.

Requirements

Do you have experience in macOS?, * Proven experience providing technical support in a help desk or desktop support environment.

  • Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems along with proficiency in troubleshooting software such as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with computer networking concepts including LAN setup, VPN configuration, firewalls, and network security best practices.
  • Hands-on experience managing computer hardware components and performing system upgrades or repairs.
  • Experience working with IT support tools like ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy or similar ticketing systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware failures, software conflicts, network issues, and operating system errors efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach to resolve user concerns promptly and professionally.
