Job description
We are looking for a reliable and hands-on IT Support Administrator to join our small IT team at Hydro Cleansing. You will provide first-line helpdesk support to approximately 80 users, assist with day-to-day IT administration, and ensure continuity of IT services during the IT Manager's absence. This is a practical, ownership-driven role suited to someone who takes pride in clean process, fast resolution, and helping people effectively., 1st Line Helpdesk
- Be the first point of contact for IT support requests across the organisation
- Log, triage, and resolve hardware, software, and Microsoft 365 issues
- Manage and close tickets in a timely and well-documented manner
- Escalate complex issues to the IT Manager with clear context
Daily IT Administration
- Manage user accounts, access rights, and group memberships in Azure AD / Microsoft Entra
- Support onboarding and offboarding end to end, including device setup, account creation, and access removal
- Carry out routine Intune device checks, compliance monitoring, and basic remediation
- Assist with licence tracking, asset register maintenance, and procurement coordination
- Support Microsoft 365 services including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive
IT Manager Cover
- Maintain essential IT operations during planned IT Manager leave
- Handle urgent support requests and escalate critical issues through agreed channels
- Keep handover documentation accurate and up to date
Documentation and Process
- Maintain IT SOPs, user guides, and internal knowledge base
- Follow and improve documented processes to support repeatability and audit readiness
Business Systems Support
- Provide user support for ERP and accounting software (e.g. Xero, Sage)
- Assist with system integrations and workflow improvements
- Help with reporting, data entry, and application troubleshooting
Requirements
- At least 1 year of hands-on IT support experience
- Solid working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, and Azure AD
- Logical thinking, structured communication, and a professional manner
- Strong written and verbal English
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities without close supervision
Preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, or Conditional Access
- Familiarity with UniFi networking or similar
- Awareness of Cyber Essentials or equivalent security frameworks
- CompTIA A+, Microsoft Fundamentals, or ITIL Foundation
Screening Process Candidates will be required to complete a short logic-based assessment during the interview to demonstrate problem-solving ability and cognitive clarity., * GCSE or equivalent (required), * IT Support: 1 year (preferred)
