IT and Systems Technician

We are looking for a practical, reliable and hands-on IT & Systems Technician to join our team at Ransom Wood Business Park.

Set within attractive woodland surroundings near Mansfield, Ransom Wood is a long-established business park home to a wide range of successful businesses. The park operates significant shared infrastructure and technology, creating a varied and interesting technical environment.

This is a rare opportunity to take on a stable, site-based role where no two days are the same. You will play an important part in supporting the systems and infrastructure that keep the business park operating smoothly, working closely with our management team, contractors and external IT specialist.

The Role

You will be the key on-site first point of contact for day-to-day technical matters across the business park.

The role combines practical IT support, monitoring systems, infrastructure support and operational troubleshooting across a wide range of technologies and services.

You will support systems including:

• Shared IT network and WiFi infrastructure
• Tenant connectivity and service support
• CCTV and security systems
• Smart meters and LoRaWAN monitoring systems
• Automated water monitoring, plant and environmental monitoring systems
• Internal office technical support
• Telephony and operational platforms
• Shared technical infrastructure and monitoring systems

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Investigating faults and technical issues
• Carrying out first-line fixes and troubleshooting
• Responding to operational monitoring alerts and system faults
• Supporting monitoring platforms and connected devices
• Coordinating contractors and specialist suppliers
• Supporting tenant setups and service changes
• Carrying out routine inspections and operational checks
• Helping maintain accurate operational records and system information

The role is varied, practical and hands-on, with a strong focus on problem solving and operational support.

Skills & ExperienceEssential

• Full UK driving licence

• UniFi / Ubiquiti experience
• CCTV systems experience
• Cabling / hardware installation experience
• Experience in a technician or support role
• Experience with monitoring, gateway or sensor-based systems
• Experience working with external contractors or suppliers

• £28,000 - £32,000 depending on experience
