Job description

We are seeking a skilled WordPress Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining WordPress websites, ensuring optimal performance, responsiveness, and user experience. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilise a broad range of technologies, and contribute to innovative digital solutions. The successful applicant will possess strong front-end and back-end development skills, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for web design and development., * Develop, customise, and optimise WordPress themes and plugins to meet client specifications.

  • Collaborate with designers and content creators to implement responsive web designs using HTML, CSS, SCSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
  • Integrate third-party APIs and web services to enhance website functionality.
  • Manage database interactions with MySQL and PostgreSQL to ensure data integrity and performance optimisation.
  • Utilise version control systems such as Git and GitHub for code management and collaboration.
  • Implement SEO best practices to improve website visibility across search engines.
  • Conduct unit testing and debugging to ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness.
  • Maintain documentation of development processes using tools like Jira or Trello.
  • Deploy applications on cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, leveraging containerisation tools like Docker where applicable.
  • Collaborate within the SDLC framework to deliver high-quality software solutions efficiently.
  • Ensure websites adhere to UX principles and are optimised for performance using data visualisation tools like D3.js or Chart.js.

Requirements

Do you have experience in WordPress?, * Strong proficiency in WordPress development along with PHP, HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, AJAX, Bootstrap, React, React Native, jQuery, Vue.js or Angular frameworks.

  • Experience with front-end development focusing on responsive web design principles for various devices.
  • Knowledge of back-end frameworks such as Django, Spring Framework, ASP.NET MVC/Core (.NET), Ruby on Rails or Node.js.
  • Familiarity with databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, SQLite or MongoDB; experience with SQL query optimisation is advantageous.
  • Experience working with APIs (RESTful & SOAP), GraphQL and web services integration.
  • Proficiency in version control systems such as Git (including GitHub) or SVN (Subversion).
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools including Jenkins, Ansible or Docker for deployment automation.
  • Understanding of system architecture principles for scalable application development on cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and web design principles aimed at enhancing user experience (UX).
  • Experience with web security standards and protocols to safeguard websites against vulnerabilities. This role is ideal for a proactive developer eager to work in a collaborative environment that values innovation and technical excellence. Candidates should demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of both front-end and back-end development processes within the context of WordPress projects while possessing excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
