This role is part of a great team environment in a rapidly growing business. In order to provide a cost effective, reliable, efficient and sustainable delivery service meeting the customers' needs and in line with the Company's objectives we need a subject matter expert to serve as In-House 2nd Level IT support.
This role is involved in the business at a time of immense growth and have the chance to really influence new ways of working and help drive change.
This role requires very strong IT support skills to act as a key resolver within both a first line and second line support function. This role requires an experienced hands-on support engineer with a customer focused approach who continuously looks for new solutions and process improvement. There is a requirement to be dealing with customers on a day-to-day basis; therefore it will be important to be well-spoken and articulate at all times., * Provide 1st and 2nd Level technical support to all users including support in PC hardware, laptops, printers, and LAN/WLAN, TCP/IP connection
- Understand the design, development and configuration of new and existing applications in relation to Business as usual service delivery.
- Liaise with other support teams within the organisation and external organisations (e.g. third-party software suppliers)
- To assist with the configuration and deployment of new equipment and to ensure they are installed correctly and are fully functional
- Daily system checks
- To diagnose, troubleshoot and correct problems within systems
- To provide basic training to new and existing staff as needed
- OOH on call support in accordance with a roster
- Provide reports and updates regarding daily system activities/projects to the IT manager
- Ensure suitable working Anti Virus and Back up Solutions in place
- Carry out timely deployment of hardware/software with prior testing as necessary.
- Create user guides.
Requirements
Do you have experience in TCP/IP?, · Office 365 administration and support
· Windows Server up to 2019
· DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, Group Policy
· Networking (Firewalls, switches and routers)
· Virtual Server Experience (VMware)
· Veeam backups
· Experience in supporting users face to face, over the phone and/or via email.
· The ability to solve problems and think analytically.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent understanding of IT and networking.
- Good knowledge of Windows server administration, troubleshooting and IP addressing.
- Must have a willingness to learn new skills and a can do attitude to work.
- No more than 45 minute commute to Tamworth, * hands on tech support: 2 years (required)
