Job description

  • Quickly assess production or supplier issues, gather necessary information, evaluate urgency against other priorities, and develop effective troubleshooting and resolution plans.
  • Communicate technical plans clearly to cross-functional teams with diverse technical backgrounds.
  • Drive issue resolution by coordinating team members, resources, and stakeholders while providing regular status updates.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems in factory production and/or at suppliers.
  • Maintain and update technical drawings, generate change documentation, and present change packages to Review Boards / Change Control Boards.
  • Take ownership of issues from identification through to final closure.
  • Participate in peer reviews of engineering work from both Engineering and Operations teams.
  • Analyze defect and yield data to identify trends and implement process improvements that reduce recurring failures.
  • Interface with suppliers, including the creation of Statements of Work (SOWs).

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Hands-on experience with any of the following:
  • Digital, analog, RF, and/or mixed-signal testing and debugging of complex circuit card assemblies (CCAs) and/or electro-mechanical systems.
  • Root-Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations.
  • Manufacturing and test support of electronic assemblies.
  • Proficiency using standard lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, function generators, programmable power supplies, spectrum/network analyzers, etc.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret schematics, PCB layouts, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)., * Prior production support engineering experience in a defense/aerospace environment with electrical or mechanical hardware.
  • Experience in electrical engineering design of CCAs, EO/IR, RF, seekers/sensors, or electronic subsystems, including circuit design, assembly, test, and production support.
  • Familiarity with test equipment design, test automation scripting, sensor control, PCB fabrication, and CCA processes.
  • Experience with any of the following tools:
  • Mentor Graphics Designer, PSPICE, System Vision, MATLAB, Mathcad, IDL, CST, Microwave Design Studio, HFSS, ADS.
  • Signal generators, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers.
  • Software development or scripting experience.
  • Background in subsystem integration and test, post-test flight analysis, Statistical Process Control (SPC), technical writing, formal presentations, and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as a self-starter while also collaborating effectively within small technical teams.
  • Experience providing technical oversight, cost estimation, tracking/reporting, and proposal support.
