Senior Java Backend Developer (GCP) - REMOTE

We are looking for a Senior Java Backend Developer with deep expertise in building scalable, high-performance backend systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and will be responsible for designing and developing enterprise-grade backend solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot
• Build and manage Microservices-based architecture
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs
• Deploy and manage applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability
• Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and QA teams
• Implement secure coding practices and API security
• Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions

• 14+ years of experience in backend development
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate/JPA
• Hands-on experience with Microservices architecture
• Solid experience with GCP services (GKE, Compute Engine, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs and distributed systems
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Maven/Gradle)
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with healthcare clients like CVS Health
• Knowledge of cloud security and IAM concepts
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
• GCP certification is a plus

Nice to Have

• Experience with Kafka / event-driven architecture
• Familiarity with Terraform (IaC)
• Exposure to monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
