Job description

We are seeking an IT Infrastructure & Security Engineer to support and maintain the organization's IT systems, network infrastructure, cybersecurity practices, and end-user support operations in a fast-paced shipbuilding and manufacturing environment. This position works closely with the IT Manager to ensure systems reliability, operational efficiency, and compliance with security standards aligned with NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC requirements., * Support daily IT operations including networking, systems administration, cloud administration, and end-user support

  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, and related systems
  • Provide Tier 1-2 technical support for users and escalate issues when necessary
  • Troubleshoot issues involving hardware, software, cabling, printers, telephones, and network connectivity
  • Support identity and access management processes including user provisioning, deprovisioning, and role assignments
  • Assist with secure network configuration practices and remote access support
  • Maintain documentation, support tickets, technical procedures, and compliance records
  • Support implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity controls aligned with NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC standards
  • Assist with CMMC readiness activities including collection of screenshots, evidence, and assessment support documentation
  • Participate in IT infrastructure upgrades, standardization efforts, security hardening, and continuous improvement projects
  • Collaborate with supervisors, management, and end users across departments to resolve technical issues efficiently
  • Maintain confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company systems and information
  • Follow all company safety procedures, policies, and security requirements, * Industrial and shipbuilding environment requiring use of PPE including:
  • Hardhat
  • Safety glasses
  • Steel-toe boots
  • Gloves
  • Respirators or additional protective equipment as required
  • Must maintain excellent attendance and punctuality
  • Must maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Must report safety incidents, damaged equipment, and hazards immediately
  • Must work at a pace consistent with company deadlines and operational requirements

Requirements

Do you have experience in Technical documentation?, * Minimum 3 years of experience in Information Technology or Information Systems

  • Experience supporting a combination of:
  • Network infrastructure
  • Systems administration
  • Cloud administration
  • Helpdesk/end-user support
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to prioritize and complete work within required deadlines, * CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certifications
  • Microsoft certifications such as Azure Administrator or equivalent
  • Familiarity with:
  • NIST SP 800-171
  • CMMC compliance frameworks
  • Security hardening practices
  • Secure access controls
  • Least-privilege network design principles
