Job description
The Network Administrator will provide administration, configuration, operations, and maintenance services for the voice, trunked radio, and video-teleconferencing portions of the Fort Benning Network Management System.
Individuals must be able to attain and maintain a valid US Government security clearance to be retained in the position.
Duties & Responsibilities

Designs implements and supports network solutions.

Provide design and upgrades compliant with Information and Technology standards and initiatives development configuration and maintenance of secured and unsecured local area networks (LANs).

Analyzes LAN utilization statistics through data collection and performance measures of classified and unclassified networks.

Installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and fine-tunes components such as switches, routers, firewalls, and Virtual Private Network (VPN) end-user devices within the overall network connectivity.

Tests network systems to ensure current network software products are compatible with system configurations and to ensure operability, efficiency, and compliance with existing standards.

Performs function tests of systems components to identify and resolve technical problems, analyze system malfunctions, implement necessary corrective actions, and provide ongoing support for the resolution of complex problems and operating malfunctions.

Performs system backups to ensure expedient restoration of the database for the respective network equipment.

Configures troubleshoots and analyzes technologies.

Assists with work requests and the entering of data for Workload Analysis Report.

Manages and maintains the Call Managers, Gatekeepers, and Gateway equipment, if applicable, on all networks.

Installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and fine-tunes VoIP phone instruments; and operates and maintains Integrated Accesses Devices (IAD) supporting analog phones connected into the VoIP environment.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field

Level II: 2 - 5 years' experience in an IT environment.

Possess or able to obtain an IAT Level II certification Security + or CCNA or CySA+ certification is strongly desired

National Security background investigation required, Secret
Skill & Certification Requirements

Security+, CCNA or MS 7 certification are strongly desired

Netcool, NSSM, Aruba
