Job description
As a Technical Service IT Administrator, you'll support both local and remote users while helping maintain the systems and infrastructure that keep our operations running smoothly. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, learning new technologies, and working in a collaborative environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing deskside and remote support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Supporting desktops, laptops, peripherals, and production environment devices
- Assisting with Linux systems, networking, virtualization, and routine system maintenance
- Performing updates, patching, and basic security checks
- Managing user accounts, permissions, and technical documentation
- Assisting with deployment of new equipment and collaborating with vendors as needed
- Escalating complex issues with clear troubleshooting details
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver's License license?, Do you have experience in Windows?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, You're a problem-solver who enjoys helping others, learning new technologies, and working as part of a collaborative team. You're adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing support tasks across both office and production environments., * Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field OR equivalent hands-on experience, * 0-2 years in IT support or technical operations
- Exposure to Windows and Linux environments
- Basic hardware and networking troubleshooting experience
Skills
- Troubleshooting Windows systems, Linux services, and common applications
- Understanding networking fundamentals such as IP, DNS, and DHCP
- Familiarity with virtualization platforms (Proxmox preferred) and remote support tools
- Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or Google IT Support Certificate
- Basic scripting knowledge (Bash, PowerShell, etc.)
- Experience with backups, patching, or server environments
A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are preferred, as occasional travel between locations may be required.
