Job description

  • cleaning and structuring Allied-submitted response data and incoming data from a research institution;
  • Standardising data formats, categories, and fields in line with the required taxonomy.
  • Identifying inconsistencies, gaps, and missing elements in the data and flagging these to the Project Manager (PM);
  • Conducting regular data quality checks (accuracy, completeness, timeliness);
  • Reviewing data entries and confirming alignment with the NATO Cyber Response taxonomy.
  • Ensuring proper data classification and tagging.
  • Supporting the PM in preparing feedback to Allies and researchers.
  • Working closely with the data engineer to ensure smooth ingestion and integration of data into the platform;
  • Supporting testing of data upload tools, visualisation features and filters;
  • Helping to document data and refine the Repository's metadata structure.
  • Producing insight reports on Allied response patterns (e.g., most-used measures, speed of response, clustering by threat actor).
  • Identifying trends and anomalies in Allied responses over time;
  • Preparing data-driven products to support Committee discussions, CDT leadership meeting and strategic messaging;
  • Create dashboards and visual analytics.
  • Supporting PM in preparing training materials (slides, guides, examples, videos);
  • Support in demonstrating data entry and tool navigation during webinar sessions for Allies;
  • Providing technical and analytical assistance to first-time users.
  • Verify data analysis methods to ensure correct data analysis methods use, support in identifying trends and anomalies in Allied responses over time through a comparative analysis of the previous Pledge cycles (May-June).
  • Support the automated creation of dashboards and visual analytics (June-July)

Requirements

Do you have experience in Python?, * Strong analytical and statistical skills.

  • 2+ years working as a data analyst or similar role.
  • Experience in data cleaning, transformation, analysis and visualization.
  • Proficiency in Python for data processing.
  • Ability to prepare visualisations, summaries, and other analytical products for non-technical audiences.
  • Very good written and spoken English.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks when needed.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.

Desirable Skills, Experience and Certifications

  • Experience using ArcGIS software (ArcGIS online, ArcGIS Experience Builder)
  • Experience from developing web applications.
  • Experience from cyber-security data analysis.
  • Experience in preparing education material and providing training to the end-user community., * Valid National or NATO Secret personal security clearance
