Job description
We are seeking a skilled IT Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive technical support, maintaining network infrastructure, and ensuring the smooth operation of all IT systems. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise a broad range of technical skills within a fast-paced environment, supporting both hardware and software solutions across various platforms., * Deliver desktop support and resolve hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.
- Manage and maintain computer networks, including LAN, VPN, DNS, and TCP/IP configurations.
- Support and administer Microsoft Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Troubleshoot software problems related to operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Monitor and configure security measures including firewalls and related security protocols.
- Utilise tools such as SCCM, BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, and Jira for ticketing, asset management, and incident tracking.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups to ensure system integrity.
- Assist with software deployment and hardware upgrades as required.
- Provide help desk support with a focus on delivering excellent customer service.
- Analyse system performance issues and recommend improvements to optimise operational efficiency.
Requirements
Do you have experience in VPN?, * Proven experience in computer networking, desktop support, and IT troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows (Windows Server), macOS, and Linux.
- Familiarity with Active Directory management, DNS configuration, TCP/IP protocols, VPNs, firewalls, and LAN setup.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite and remote support tools such as SCCM or BMC Remedy.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified) are desirable but not essential.
