Job description

In this role, you'll provide onsite Second Line IT support across multiple schools within approx. one hour commute to Basingstoke, helping staff keep systems running smoothly and ensuring our customers receive the excellent service they expect. You'll be part of a forward-thinking, rapidly growing IT company headquartered in Wolverhampton., Provide technical support and troubleshooting for computer hardware, software, and network-related issues

  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and peripherals
  • Set up and manage user accounts and access permissions
  • Monitor and analyse network performance, including VPN, LAN, DNS, and Firewall
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve IT issues and implement solutions
  • Document and track support tickets using our ticketing system, Freshdesk
  • Assist with software installations and updates
  • Conduct daily system maintenance tasks, such as backups and updates, PLEASE NOTE: Although our head office is based in Wolverhampton, this role is based in school/s. Therefore, you will not be expected to travel to our Wolverhampton office to carry out your duties. However, there will be occasions where you will be required to attend the office. This may include, but is not limited to, training, development and internal meetings.

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in VPN?, Are you a tech-savvy problem solver who thrives in dynamic environments? We're looking for an experienced T2 / Second Line IT Technician to join our team and hit the ground running., * Level 4 industry specific qualification

  • Demonstrable working knowledge of InTune
  • Demonstratable experience with platforms such as Windows Server, Office365, Google Workspace, Windows Operating System, Android, and iOS.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues
  • Proficiency in computer hardware setup, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of network protocols, VPNs, LANs, DNS, and Firewalls
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively assist users with technical problems in a way that respects our values and ethos
  • Resilience, compassion, flexibility and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Minimum two years of experience working in a Second Line IT support role
  • Methodical and well organised
  • Full UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points and access to own vehicle
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Wiling to commute - the school based within approx. one hour commute of Basingstoke. Before applying please ensure you are within a one hour commutable distance to Basingstoke.
